Globe Telecom has signed an MOU with Singtel to enable it to offer advanced managed security services in the Philippines. The partnership leverages Singtel’s recent acquisition of Trustwave, a leading managed security services company in a deal worth US$850 million. Singtel via TrustWave provides managed security services covering a broad portfolio of services across three main areas – threat management, vulnerability management and compliance management, supported by a team of security experts in its forensic and threat research security unit, SpiderLabs.

The partnership between Globe and Singtel will see Globe's managed security services being enhanced with Trustwave’s security suite, enabling the Operator to deliver services in areas such as Vulnerability Assessment, Network Security, Application Security and Content Security, Endpoint Security and Access Control and Security Management.

Bill Chang, Chief Executive Officer, Group Enterprise, Singtel

About 39% of observed organisations in the Philippines were targeted with advanced cyber attacks in the first half of 2015, above the global average of about 20%Therefore, it is imperative for businesses to stay one step ahead of such cyber threats.

Gil Genio, Globe Chief Technology and Information Officer and Chief Strategy Officer
Cybersecurity threats have been constantly evolving and we believe that a more proactive stance against attacks is necessary.
