Vedicis has partnered Alcatel-Lucent's managed services business to introduce Smart Data as a Service Platform, a unique service and business model that focuses on clients and subscribers as key influencers for service providers’ decision making process. The service complements or replaces the traditional CAPEX model based on hardware, software, storage and analytics by providing a simple access to information for network, marketing and contact centre stakeholders. The offering is based on virtualized software and service platforms, said Alcatel-Lucent.

The main value proposition of Smart Data as a Service comprises the following:

- Driving customer centric transformation which involves adopting and extending a client 360 degrees view across all customers.

- One Service Multiple facets which leverages consistent and critical set of data for the following attributes, usage and objectives

    - Attributes: Subscribers, usage, devices, location, net technology, etc

    - Usage: Capacity planning, network operations, profiling and marketing, revenue assurance, legal compliance, etc.

    - Objectives: Speed in terms of time to deliver value

- Ability for clients to choose services at a granular level

- Ability to obtain information in real-time
