NTT Com Expands Tier-1 Global IP Network to Marseille, France

NTT Communications, announced today that it will expand its Tier-1 Global IP Network with a new point-of-presence (PoP) in Marseille, France. Based on the latest Dyn Wholesale RankingsNTT Com is one of the top two global wholesale IP providers and the number one provider in Asia.

Marseille is the interconnection point for eight international subsea cables that link Europe to Africa, the Middle East and Asia. NTT Com’s new PoP in Marseille will facilitate the delivery of reliable, high-quality wholesale IP services between these high-growth markets and Europe, said the operator. In addition to providing access to highly strategic subsea cables, this new PoP is located at a major carrier-neutral facility, Interxion’s data center MRS1, which houses a community of over 70 connectivity providers, exchanging large volumes of traffic in a highly secure environment.

Clive Hamilton, Vice President of Network Services at NTT Europe
We are thrilled to extend our footprint into Marseille, one of Europe’s largest interconnection hubs. This PoP will allow NTT Com to serve not only new customers but also existing customers in other parts of the world looking to expand and add services in fast-growing markets in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
