Indosat Partners Ericsson to Deploy 4G/LTE in Greater Jakarta

Ericsson and Indosat have further strengthened their partnership with a new agreement to deploy 4G/LTE network in Greater Jakarta. The partnership covers 2G, 3G and 4G/LTE network technology, implementation services and network performance optimization. The new network will enable Indosat customers to benefit from better quality, faster download speeds, more stable connections and more responsive applications.

Under the deal, Ericsson will supply its RBS 6000 base station family that enables energy-efficient and cost-effective operations. The optimization of the networks will further support Indosat to capture the ever-increasing demand of mobile broadband in Indonesia.

Alexander Rusli, CEO and President Director of Indosat
We're excited to work with Ericsson on this journey to bring the latest 4G/LTE technology to our customers. This technology means faster speeds, more responsive applications, greater efficiency and more stable connections.

Thomas Jul, Head of Ericsson Indonesia and Timor-Leste
We are pleased to partner with Indosat to bring Ericsson's 4G/LTE solutions in Indonesia. Our consumer studies in Indonesia show that network performance is the main consideration for mobile phone users' loyalty.
