Proximus and Alcatel-Lucent, Thursday announced the extension of their partnership into new areas aimed at improving customer experience and boosting growth. Based on existing commercial relationship, the new collaboration includes strategic cooperation in fields like improved user experience at home via fixed broadband access and increased mobile coverage and capacity via the small cells technology. 

Proximus and Alcatel-Lucent have defined three domains of collaboration, Get to Fast Faster (GtFF), Everything (EiE) and Small Cells in Operation (SCiO) with each expected to deliver superior customer experience either at home or on the go.

With the GtFF, Proximus plans to deliver a new Wi-Fi user experience with any device at home, allowing better self-service capabilities for Proximus' customers (MyProximus) and optimizing the management of mobile devices. The EiE initiative will ensure its customers have fast and reliable access to the network at anytime, anywhere and via whatever the technology that is used. Lastly, with the Small Cells in Operations, Proximus will bring the network closer to the end-user, maximizing its network coverage and capacity.
