Japanese Operator, NTT Docomo announced that it will be expanding the FIDO authentication to additional six new FIDO Certified devices, offering customers a choice of 10 devices to-date. FIDO standards provide an alternative to passwords that is more secure, private and easier-to-use with a range of authentication methods, including NFC and biometrics. In May, NTT Docomo became the first MNO worldwide to enable FIDO authentication.
NTT Docomo also announced that it will enhance its carrier billing payment partners' services by extending FIDO authentication to third-party operators.
