The emergence of quadplay Operators who have presence in the mobile, Internet, TV and telephone services has driven telecom vendors to provide integrated solutions that will enable Operators to streamline various backend processes onto single, converged platforms that will enable them to manage their subscribers more efficiently, especially those with subscriptions to multiple services. Kazakhtelecom JSC, Kazakhstan's largest service provider who is making foray into the triple-play segment, has selected Amdocs, the leading provider of customer experience systems and services to provide its Convergent Charging solution to enable convergence of Kazakhtelecom's triple-play offerings and reduce hardware costs. According to Amdocs, their real-time system also provides Kazakhtelecom with prepaid charging capabilities and features Amdocs Turbo Charging, with its best-in-class charging performance. The solution will enable Kazakhtelecom to offer its fixed-line subscribers innovative bundles of cutting-edge services, including IPTV and high-speed broadband

"Amdocs Convergent Charging will offer Kazakhtelecom a lower total cost of ownership thanks to Amdocs Turbo Charging's efficient use of hardware," said Rebecca Prudhomme, Amdocs vice president of product and solutions marketing.
