Premium video provider, Quickplay is working with Alcatel-Lucent to enable PAY TV operators to evolve their legacy IPTV platforms to the next generation of TV services. The collaboration combines Alcatel Lucent’s Cloud DVR and Velocix Content Delivery Network (CDN) with Quickplay’s extensive virtual head-end and 24/7 managed service model. 

With the combined solution from both the companies, service providers will be able to deliver a comprehensive and customized solution for managed and unmanaged video distribution and consumption that differentiates their business and manages demand of multi-screen IP video networks.

Quickplay has also embedded the Velocix CDN and Cloud DVR into its Managed Video Platform Service as an offering for its service provider and content programmer clients around the world. Both Alcatel-Lucent and Quickplay will provide a modular, independent approach that integrates to third-party component suppliers to meet the unique needs of every project and enable a smooth transition to next generation platforms.
