Tele2, an alternative mobile operator in Russia, has signed an agreement with Rostelecom to provide Tele2 with digital private circuits in Moscow and Moscow region to enable the Operator to launch its mobile service. The agreement will allow Tele2 to secure mobile backhaul using IP/MPLS virtual private networks based on Rostelecom’s data infrastructure, enabling it to provide high speed and reliability of data services in 3G/4G networks.
According to Tele2, it is actively preparing to launch profitable and high-quality mobile services in Moscow. The operator builds over 100 base stations in Moscow and Moscow Region every week.
The operator has already provided high-quality network coverage at territories where over 70% of the capital’s population and 55% of Moscow Region residents live, including the largest cities such as Odintsovo, Podolsk, Khimki, Mytishchi, Zheleznodorozhnyy, Lyubertsy, Vidnoye, Reutov, Korolev, Dolgoprudnyy and Krasnogorsk.
