Ericsson to enhance Korek with Convergent Charging and Billing

Iraqi mobile operator Korek has hired Ericsson to deploy a new convergent charging and billing system.

The operator will use the Ericsson 'Charging and Billing in One' (CBIO) system to improve scalability and agility, providing its subscribers with greater personalisation, control and quality of service.

Ericsson Charging and Billing in One (CBIO) system will provide Korek's subscribers with pro-activity, personalization, control and service quality.

"As a telecom operator, our aim is to always provide our subscribers with services and solutions that will enhance their experience," said Sirwan Mustafa, chairman and founder of Korek telecom. "At Korek, we understand that everything from device, through the network via the support systems including our operations, all this decides our users' experience. With Ericsson's expertise and cutting-edge technologies, we are confident that our customers will be provided with world-class services, Mustafa also noted that Korek will be the first operator implementing such a live system in the North Middle East Region."
