Insights on service performance can be critical for enterprises. According to a recent research from InfoVista, the global leader of IP and RF planning, service assurance and optimization software solutions, which was carried out in conjunction with industry analyst firm Frost & Sullivan, 88% of operators surveyed cited having a Carrier Ethernet network performance management solution in place with more than 70% citing that their business customers would value increasingly sophisticated reporting. The research points out to the importance of proactive monitoring across Carrier Ethernet and business services to ensure network and application performance, quality of service (QoS) and end user quality of experience (QoE). In fact, the research shows that a high number of CSPs feel that they could provide service performance reports as a value add service and monetize it.

“Offering high-performance Carrier Ethernet services that not only include the necessary proof-point of their value but also provide customer-empowering intelligence of their network’s performance reduces churn and supports customer acquisition, as well as drives new incremental revenue streams for CSPs,” said Christopher Cullan, product marketing manager, business services solutions, InfoVista.

“As an active participant in the MEF since 2006, InfoVista is committed to empowering our customers with the industry body’s best practices and accelerating the adoption of Carrier Ethernet network performance management standards,” continued Cullan. “We are today helping more than 40 CSPs to easily manage end-to-end network, application and service quality and reduce the time spent troubleshooting problems. All in all, this translates into operators providing greater value to their business customers and deriving additional sources of revenue.”
