Preminum Over-the-Top (OTT) video firm, Quickplay during its last financial year closing, announced that the company can reach one billion addressable viewers via its market-leading managed video platform service. Quickplay claims to be the largest global distributor of linear OTT with over 700 live channels and over 200,000 new VOD titles.

This, along with its recent investments in the company's head-end and middleware as well as their acquisition of Roundbox, will accelerate Quickplay's ability to support content programmers and operators with Next Generation TV solutions and leading-edge services such as 4G LTE Broadcast.

The company recorded a 44% growth in recurring revenue in the last financial year for its service platform driven by the increase in demand for OTT video services globally. It clocked 65% YOY gain in video-on-demand (VOD) hours and 25% growth in linear over the top (OTT) channels as the company secured content connections to 250 premium content providers covering Hollywood to Bollywood for clients such as AT&T, Bell, Rogers, TELUS, and Singtel. The company also led market expansion into APAC region with the addition of delivery centre in India – now home to 25% of Quickplayers; bolstered by rollout of HOOQ - Asia’s new OTT service from Singtel, Sony Pictures Television and Warner Bros.

The results show that consumer demand for Next Generation TV services continues to grow at an exceptional pace.
