TV3, Ireland's largest commercial television broadcaster has selected Ooyala to power its live and VOD content across all digital devices. TV3 will be using the video analytics and discovery solution from the vendor as well as its ad-serving technology to power its over-the-top(oTT) offering across multiple channels as part of its effort to maximize engagement and revenue.

The deployment will see Ooyala providing its solutions for the online content for TV3's live channels, TV3 and 3e, as well as its 3player, TV3's domestic catch-up TV service.

According to Ooyala, its solutions enable TV3 to make more informed decisions about its content distribution and ad strategies, helping the broadcaster to boost yield across its entire video inventory. Further, using Ooyala Discovery, its content recommendation technology, TV3 will be creating personalized experiences for every viewer, keeping its audience engaged longer while boosting CPMs and revenue.

Brendan McGillicuddy, digital development manager of TV3 Group
We look forward to working with Ooyala as they have proven themselves not only as a leader in video analytics and content recommendation, but also in advertising and monetization. We see great value having our video delivery and advertising technology from the same innovative provider; not only for the benefits gained through their analytic capabilities but also having support and professional services under one roof.

Rags Gupta, general manager of EMEA of Ooyala
TV3 is a great example of how progressive broadcasters are thinking strategically about the future of their business as TV migrates across a fragmented device landscape. They understand the huge scale of the online opportunity, and the importance of optimizing revenue and advertising campaigns through the new kinds of audience measurement that Ooyala provides.
