VPIsystems, the leading provider of end-to-end, predictive network analytics for network capacity planning, network optimization, and subscriber quality assurance, Monday announced that Telefonica has selected VPIsystems' OnePlan software as a key part of its Transport Network Optimization Program to be rolled out across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Germany and Peru.

According to VPIsystems, this OSS transformation initiative will modernize their networks and systems in order to accelerate the deployment of new technologies and to increase network coverage. VPIsystems' software solutions will help Telefonica to improve the efficiency of its network assets. The company added that with the Transport Network Optimization Program, Telefonica is reviewing and optimizing the entire lifecycle of its transport network, deploying tools with new, standardized, streamlined processes, in order to achieve excellence in efficiency and deliver improved quality to customers all over its operations.

Juan Manuel Caro Bernat, Director of Operations & OSS, Telefónica S.A.
As data consumption in our networks continues to grow rapidly, our customers expect an experience that is similar to that of a voice call. Streamlined capacity planning is critical in realizing our strategy. The key to doing this successfully is to have a business partner who has experience in doing this at a large scale. VPIsystems' agility and their ability to truly understand our requirements and challenges were key factors in our decision.

Tito Sharma, President and Chief Executive Officer, VPIsystems
We are pleased that Telefonica has selected us for their Transport Network Optimization Program. The tremendous growth in the adoption of smart phones over the last few years has greatly increased data traffic on operators' networks. This is creating a need for network optimization software to accommodate these demands as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.
