Huawei today announced that it has signed an agreement with Ascom, a leading provider of wireless and network testing solutions to license its network infrastructure interfaces for integration with Ascom TEMS Discovery network optimization products. The agreement ensures that Huawei will provide full support to Ascom TEMS Discovery for their integration with the relevant Huawei products.

According to Huawei, the partnership between the two companies is in alignment with the principles outlined in the OSS Interoperability Initiative (OSSii) which was launched by Huawei, Nokia Networks and Ericsson in 2013. The initiative aims to simplify the interoperability between OSS systems in a multi-vendor environment, which will provide simplified, multi-lateral access to interfaces that have previously been restricted to proprietary use. With this agreement, Huawei has opened the door to license its OSSii interfaces to Independent Software Vendors (ISV).

Jiang Wangcheng, President of Huawei's OSS & Services, Wireless Networks Business Unit
We are happy that a leading independent software vendor such as Ascom has joined Huawei in the OSSii. Huawei is committed to providing its customers with the means to fully capitalize on the best OSS solutions available. We look forward to continued cooperation with Ascom as part of the OSSii.

Erik Tarnvik, Ascom Network Testing
Our customers have clearly communicated that support for Huawei network interfaces in our products is a 'must-have' requirement. We are delighted to have reached an agreement with Huawei that allows Ascom to provide our customers with the level of support that is expected from TEMS products and from an industry leader such as Huawei.
