Alepo-Affinegy Partnership: Faster Service Provisioning with Affinegy’s Customer Activation pre-integrated with Alepo’s Service Enabler & Policy Management

 Service Management Platform

Affinegy and Alepo jointly announced a new technology partnership that will benefit service providers of both fixed and mobile networks with pre-integrated products, bringing a total solution for service provisioning that eliminates IT investment and pre-deployment planning to enable faster introduction of new service offerings at lowered operational expense.

The joint solution enables Customer Service Agents (CSA) to easily provision new services to customers. In an Alepo-Affinegy deployment, the CSA would use Alepo’s Service Enabler (SE) Customer Management System to select the services of interest to the customer. SE would then create and manage the policies administered by Alepo’s AAA Policy Management server.  Once home, the customer would plug in the access device, like a DSL modem, and then be redirected to Affinegy’s Customer Activation Portal where the device would be authenticated through the RADIUS integration with Alepo’s Service Enabler.  Affinegy’s Auto Configuration Server would set the parameters of the device to match the SE service policies and the customer would then be fully operational with his chosen service bundle.

“It is great when two companies cooperate in a strong way on behalf of the end customer.  We envision this integration effort will benefit other Service Providers looking to drive efficiencies in their operations” said Frank LaBarbera, Affinegy’s SVP Sales and Marketing.
