VOO, a leading Belgian cable operator and one of the fastest-growing cable operators in Europe, has selected Cisco's Videoscape solution to power a new TV experience delivered through the recently announced VOO .évasion decoder box. 

Available this summer to VOO customers, the .évasion box will deliver a unique experience through a series of innovative features, powered by Videoscape Snowflake, including a slick and intuitive user interface (UI), and mosaic video wall that will allow users to navigate easily throughout the channel lineup, with personalized suggestions enabled via the recommendation engine. It also includes an "app store" customizable to service each member of the household with practical information including weather, local news and more. 

Cisco will supply VOO with the new .évasion decoder box, which has a removable hard drive and offers the ability to record up to three programs simultaneously while watching a fourth program. Other key elements of the Cisco Videoscape portfolio include the middleware, a full lineup of headend components, and third-party application integration services.
