Evolving Systems, a leader in activation, enablement and management of services for connected mobile devices, Thursday announced that a Tier 1 African operator has placed a significant order for the company's Tertio® solution. The operator is conducting a major restructuring of its Operational Support Systems (OSS), looking to streamline its processes, reduce operational costs and consolidate its OSS infrastructure to support a key convergence initiative that will provide a more consistent network experience for its customers.
According to Evolving Systems, the operator currently uses the company's Tertio solution to provision services for its prepaid wireless subscribers and already sees the benefits of a reliable, scalable solution that lowers activation errors and integrates to a wide range of network elements and business systems. As a result of this new order, Tertio will be extended to activate the operator's portfolio of converged services including postpaid, fixed line, WiMAX and value added services.
