Nokia Networks announced the certification and integration of Check Point's firewall to its telco cloud security solution. The cloud security solution which is managed by Nokia Networks' Cloud Security Director, allows third party vendors to integrate their cloud perimeter firewalls and management systems and enables Operators to automatically deploy security policies and functions in cloud and hybrid networks.
The solution responds to the growing avalanche of malicious mobile network attacks that saw a 75% explosion in total malware detected from Q4 2013 to Q4 2014 with the virtual cloud architecture being one of the major targets, said Nokia Networks. The solution greatly reduces effort and cost incurred by network operators compared to manual methods, and mitigates the risk of them losing revenue from security breaches.
Amnon Bar-Lev, President, Check Point

Working in unison with our partners, Check Point provides the most advanced, integrated security solutions to deliver complete protection for cloud infrastructures and secure enterprises’ future deployments.
Giuseppe Targia, Vice President of Security Business at Nokia Networks

To achieve that, we combine our mobile network and security portfolio and know-how with the expertise of the leading security vendors.
