These critical test areas assess the audio, video, signaling, and data throughput performance of mobile devices to ensure they meet the complex carrier requirements of next-generation LTE networks, said Spirent.
According to Spirent, guaranteeing a superior Quality of Experience (QoE) is a critical factor in delivering services that compete with the increasingly popular Over-the-Top Voice and Video Services. As VoLTE rollouts continue, operators are working to provide a seamless interaction between the new LTE networks and existing circuit-switched networks. hVoLTE, or hybrid VoLTE, is a mode of operation that allows the two technologies to co-exist. Testing this coexistence on devices is critical in order to avoid VoLTE call drops during mobility scenarios.
