Citrix, a leading provider of server, application and desktop virtualization, networking, software-as-a-service, and cloud computing technologies, Tuesday announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Grasshopper, a leading provider of cloud-based telephony solutions for small businesses. The acquisition will allow Citrix to expand its current communication and collaboration solutions for small businesses which include the GoToMeeting, GoToTraining, GoToWebinar, ShareFile and OpenVoice.

Founded by two entrepreneurs in 2003, Grasshopper has been making it easier to start and grow small businesses with its cloud telefony systems. The company claims to have served 150,000 enterprenurs to-date.
