Moogsoft, the leading provider of operational intelligence for the new era of IT, announced that it has been selected by Deutsche Telekom to participate in its recently announced 5G innovation lab, 5G:haus, expanding the company's Incident.MOOG's monitoring footprint to next-generation mobile infrastructures. Deutsche Telekom launched the 5G innovation lab to further lead the development and standardization of the 5G mobile technology, and to provide a platform to engage with its customers throughout the stages of 5G development. The lab's goal is to bring together a diverse ecosystem -- from large infrastructure vendors to leading technology startups and other companies in between -- to debate issues, test next-generation technologies and generate new ideas that harness the power and potential of a 5G network. Deutsche Telekom is one of the leading mobile operators driving 5G advancement.

According to Moogsoft, with this incredible enhancement to mobile communications, mobile operators will also need to rethink their network support and tooling architectures to meet anticipated service demand, as well as overcome the challenge of discovering threats to service availability much earlier. As 5G is tested further and new applications and standards are built around the technology, the current approaches to monitoring and incident management in use for 3G/4G won't scale to address a 5G-era environment. Moogsoft enables deep monitoring of both new and old IT infrastructure components like switches, access gateways, controllers, servers, cloud virtualization software, as well as domain-specific monitoring tools, to deliver a single source of truth for complex, service-affecting issues in the network.

Phil Tee, CEO, Moogsoft
5G is just one of the multiple technology transformations in this new era that is forcing mobile operators to revamp how they detect and remediate complex system problems. Incident.MOOG is a next-generation toolset designed to increase availability of dynamic, software-centric telco infrastructures like NFV, mobile IP core, and 5G, and Deutsche Telekom is but one of many mobile operators taking notice of the value that Moogsoft provides.
