NetBoss Technologies, a leading provider of Operational Support Systems (OSS) has announced that AXTEL is now in full production with NetBoss Technologies’ next generation NetBoss XT solution. AXTEL is one of the leading operators in the Mexican telecommunications industry, offering advanced IPTV, the country’s fastest broadband service, VOIP and IT.

NetBoss XT provides end-to-end visibility of network health while NetBoss StateWise adds topology-based correlation and root cause analysis for the DWDM and IP/MPLS network segments. NetBoss XT is also connected to AXTEL’s trouble ticketing system for rapid ticket generation, while the NetBoss XT Executive Dashboard is used to bring summary KPI and Service Impact information on broadband services to managers and executives in an interactive and mobile format.

According to NetBoss, AXTEL selected NetBoss Technologies after a competitive bidding process, seeking to further enhance the quality of services they offer while reducing the costs to operate and maintain their multi-vendor network.

Andrés Cordovez, Executive Director of Technology and Operations, AXTEL
All of our NOC (Network Operation Center) and project areas rely on the NetBoss solution to manage the day to day operations of our network. We continue to have a great experience working with NetBoss and look forward to adding performance and network analytics capabilities in the near future. It was a very simple decision to use NetBoss given their great products and superior service.

Jim Odom, President & CEO, NetBoss Technologies
We are very excited to have delivered a next generation OSS solution for AXTEL with the NetBoss XT platform which also included our Zhone GPON agent and several auto-correlation Value Packs for FTTx and GPON networks. These advanced artificial intelligence value packs are capable of detecting and pinpointing passive splitter issues, CPE failures, internet and network issues, and a variety of IPTV performance issues in seconds versus the hours it would normally take a technician. We applaud AXTEL for deploying the next generation of NMS solutions for their customers.
