Polkomtel, operating as ‘Plus’ in Poland, has selected Symsoft to provide an SMS firewall service to increase its network protection against its messaging system. The SMS Firewall will extend the capabilities related to assurance of security and individual integrity for all subscribers of Polkomtel.

According to Polkomtel, as an added benefit, the SMS Firewall will provide a functionality for the operator to grow and secure the enterprise messaging business. Symsoft said in its statement that the SMS Firewall product, together with a new SS7 Firewall product, constitutes integral parts of security, integrity and service assurance capabilities within the comprehensive signaling and messaging product portfolio it offers to operators.

Dariusz Kośnik, Technical Projects Director, Polkomtel
The Symsoft product suite and the track record in delivering an outstanding service to Polkomtel over the course of many years made it a straight forward choice for us when investing in new capabilities for our requirements within signaling and messaging.

Petter Näslund, VP, Product Management, Symsoft
We are proud to have been the messaging partner of choice for Polkomtel over the past decade. The new firewall will further extend the capabilities from the Symsoft product portfolio that Polkomtel will have at its disposal in delivering an outstanding service in an ever increasingly competitive market.
