Alepo, announced that its Wi-Fi monetization and offloading solutions have been certified interoperable under Aruba Networks’ ArubaEdge Technology Partner Program.  This achievement carries significant implications for service providers that want to provide complete, proven, out-of-the-box solutions to support the increasing demands of the mobile marketplace for both Wi-Fi offload and Hotspot monetization. Hotspot providers are assured of a pre-tested comprehensive solution that benefits from the rapid time to market and lower integration costs.

Interoperability testing validated that Alepo’s Service Enabler Wi-Fi Hotspot Monetization and Offload platform could seamlessly authenticate a subscriber iPhone and Android smartphones to an Aruba Wi-Fi network as it came within range of the access point.  The Aruba access point facilitated secure EAP SIM authentication using the Alepo Wi-Fi Offload platform. The platform also served as a gateway to the mobile core network, resulting in a seamless, hands-free offload process.

“As carriers look to implement Wi-Fi offload as part of their heterogeneous network strategies, they must be assured of a proven, interoperable solution in order to deploy services quickly and efficiently,” said Jonathan Garini, Alepo Vice President of Products. “Interoperability validation with Aruba demonstrates our ability to integrate end-to-end from the network edge to the core.  The resulting solution is easier and less expensive to deploy and maintain.”

Alepo’s Wi-Fi Offload platform is a complete, carrier-grade solution that consists of Alepo’s high-performance EAP / AAA framework, Policy Controller, MAP / SS7 gateway, and more. The solution falls within Alepo’s greater Carrier Wi-Fi solutions portfolio, which also features innovative products and solutions for Wi-Fi hotspot monetization, intelligent access network discovery and selection (ANDSF), and more. Alepo has implemented real-world, proven network solutions for leading service providers for over 17 years.
