Quortus will showcase new revenue models and service capabilities enabled by its growing range of products for virtualization in mobile core networks at the Mobile World Congress 2015. The company will announce a significant expansion of its ECX (EdgeCentrix) product range, enabling value-added services for enterprises; cost-effective and flexible connectivity for remote sites and rural communities; and robust public safety offerings.
According to Quortus, its software EPC technology distils the functionality of a core network into a software application which can run on a variety of common embedded hardware platforms or in the cloud. It allows intelligence to be placed wherever in the mobile network it is most needed, enabling network features and service configurations that would be impossible with a traditional centralized core – for example, providing graceful integration with an enterprise customer’s local PBX. It is field-proven in a range of settings, on both public and private networks. Also added to the ECX suite of products is a solution specifically designed for remote and rural small cell applications. Apart from this, Quortus will be enhancing its established ECX Enterprise product with a number of new features, including VoLTE (voice over LTE) capabilities.
