Cerillion Technologies, a leading provider of billing, charging and customer management systems, Wednesday announced a new contract with Manx Telecom to transform its business support systems (BSS) infrastructure to support fully convergent services across multiple network technologies. The project is being implemented in close co-operation with session control and data monetization specialist, Tango Telecom.
According to Cerillion, with the upgrade to pre-integrated BSS suite, Manx Telecom will be able to offer a more flexible array of services to its customers, as well as achieve much lower operational costs by removing legacy charging systems. The rollout of Cerillion’s Convergent Charging System (CCS) to support online charging for all voice, data and content services is a key part of Manx Telecom’s continued investment in its service architecture evolution programme, said Cerillion. Cerillion will also deploy its Self Service module to enable Manx Telecom’s customers to buy and manage services online.
Cerillion’s convergent charging and billing technology is a key enabler for us to differentiate our services and maximise the return on the investments we have made in our fixed and mobile network infrastructure. Cerillion is a strategic partner, and we are confident that this latest project will help us to deliver a superior customer experience and sustain a long-term competitive advantage.
Louis Hall, CEO, Cerillion
Despite many years of industry hype, convergence has remained an unobtainable goal for most telecoms providers. With this pioneering project, Manx Telecom is once again taking the lead by consolidating their services onto one fully convergent platform, and we are delighted to be helping them achieve this goal.
