Italtel, Cisco Team Up on Internet of Things (IoT)

At the ongoing Cisco Live!, Cisco announced that it is working together with Italtel, a leading innovative TLC products manufacturer for the Internet of Things (IoT), with solutions covering the manufacturing, energy and transportation sector. According to Cisco, the company's IoT solutions cater for various applications across these sectors including for major implementation segments such as the Smart Grid. 

In its statement, Cisco said that Italtel, in the past year, has extended its solutions to the manufacturing market to support Smart Manufacturing. According to Italtel, its network and IT technologies can provide real-time insights into manufacturing processes and allow manufacturers to satisfy customers’ demands more quickly, while reducing operating costs. Italtel added that Smart Manufacturers can create value by linking their industrial plants to IT enterprise applications and by leveraging Italtel networking and ICT expertise.
