eircom, the largest integrated communications provider in Ireland has launched pre-pay 4G data, enabled by Openet's Business Support System (BSS). With the rollout, eircom's pre-pay mobile broadband subscribers and those signing up to Meteor’s Simplicity Plans can now enjoy ultra-fast 4G speeds.

Openet, a global leader in the supply of real-time BSS (business support systems), said that it overcame tight delivery times due to eircom’s commercial commitments to ensure that eircom had compelling 4G offers on the market to win market share during the busy Christmas period. The company added that eircom has relied on Openet’s charging systems since 2009 to deliver innovative solutions to their subscriber base. Openet’s solutions provide eircom with the ability to reduce time to market for launching new data offers as well as the flexibility to create innovative offers that are appealing to their subscriber base.
