Aircel India has signed Astellia, leading provider of network and subscriber intelligence for mobile operators, to deploy its Nova suite for the optimization of Aircel's 2G and 3G radio access and core network resources. The multi-million dollar agreement with the Indian mobile operator with a subscriber base of over 75 million will allow Aircel to detect impediments that may cause network quality degradations and take prompt corrective actions, thereby ensuring the availability and efficiency of the network, said Astellia.
Astellia said that Aircel will leverage customer analytics to understand and predict customer usage trends, optimize existing data plans or introduce new ones, address churn and optimize ROI on infrastructure investments.

Sameer Dave, CTO, Aircel
With fierce competition kicking in the Indian mobile market and the frenzied adoption of smartphones, consumers are becoming increasingly discerning in terms of service quality. We have teamed up with Astellia to get an increased visibility into our network performance to offer enhanced customer experience and improved operational efficiency. I am also expecting revenue uplift based on customer insights and bespoken solutions coming out of the Astellia's table.

Mahantesh Patil, Managing Director India, Astellia
This strategic cooperation lays a solid foundation for a long term partnership between Astellia and Aircel. We are very proud to help Aircel understand the needs and experience of their customers, and take proactive actions to enhance their data experience. We are delighted that Aircel recognizes Nova‟s ease of use and flexibility to provide the intelligence required for them to be a differentiator in this competitive data market.
