Brocade and Mirantis have entered into a strategic partnership on data center network automation and availability. Brocade builds on Mirantis OpenStack platform and the Fuel open source deployment tool to improve service provider networks. This partnership will provide cloud service providers with a new turnkey service, OpenStack-based, on-demand data center solution.
Brocade also announced that the company's OpenStack plugin for Brocade® VDX® Switche is now certified for Mirantis OpenStack. The solution enables multitenant network orchestration across the data center. Brocade also provides additional network services to OpenStack environments with the Brocade Virtual ADX® and Brocade Vyatta® vRouter offerings.
The partnership will see both companies delivering a private cloud solution that is automated, efficient, and elastic -- all of which allows cloud service providers to deploy a dense, robust, and cost-effective OpenStack cloud.
