Leading Irish telecoms infrastructure and bandwidth solutions provider, ESB Telecoms (ESBT), has selected Coriant's hiT 7300 Multi-Haul Transport solution to deploy a new high-capacity DWDM network throughout Ireland. The new ESBT network will also utilize Coriant TransNet Planning Tool while being managed by Coriant's TNMS Management System.

Coriant, a leading supplier of dynamic metro-to-core transport solutions, said that the Coriant hiT 7300 Multi-Haul Transport Platform was selected by ESBT for its flexibility and service agility and the deployment of the new network supports ESBT's vision of providing high-bandwidth services for its wholesale and enterprise customers. The new network offers enhanced transmission speeds of up to 100 gigabits per second (100G) and enables ESBT to cost-effectively scale to meet growing bandwidth requirements in the future, added Coriant.

Rory McGowan, Managing Director, ESB Telecoms
