Syntonic, a sponsored data and connected services provider, Wednesday unveiled 'CSP for Enterprise', a solution for Samsung KNOX suite to make it easier and more secure for enterprises to manage employees' use of mobile devices and business applications.

Samsung KNOX, a security environment developed for Samsung Android devices is designed to provide a secure environment for BYOD and to differentiate work from personal use by supporting multiple KNOX user personas. Syntonic's segmented billing enables enterprises to take advantage to provide an à la carte approach to wireless access expenses management. The segmented data billing provided by the solution for KNOX Premium and Workspace devices comes as a value-added service for KNOX Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) providers, including Samsung's KNOX EMM.  Syntonic's CSP for Enterpise is expected to be available for commercial deployment in the first quarter of 2015.

Syntonic added that the solution is compatible with the entire range of KNOX 2.0 supported devices, including the newly introduced Samsung Galaxy Note 4. At launch, the Syntonic service will support mobile network access to AT&T and Sprint (MVNOs), with additional mobile operators in the U.S. and abroad expected to be added in 2015.

According to Syntonic, KNOX EMM vendors will be invited to participate in a pilot program in December for their enterprise customers' AT&T network-connected KNOX devices.

Gary Greenbaum, CEO Syntonic
We believe our integration with Samsung KNOX will play a significant role in accelerating the adoption of BYOD by businesses. The intersection of mobile workforce productivity and personal use for mobile devices has made it clear to CIOs and CFOs that work is no longer bounded by location; work can be performed anywhere, on any device. CIOs have faced an all-or-nothing approach to funding wireless access expenses.
