NetCracker Technology and NEC Corporation, Wednesday announced that Optus Australia has selected the company's OSS portfolio to upgrade its existing OSS Systems spanning Optus' diverse lines of business including consumer and business wireless, broadband, enterprise data, voice, and ICT services and IP telephony across the service fulfilment chain, from service order management to network configuration and activation.

NetCracker will provide Optus with a range of new OSS capabilities based on its NetCracker 9.0 suite, including Service Information Management, Service Order Management, Service Inventory, Service Activation, Network Planning and Design, Network Resource Inventory, Discovery and Reconciliation, and Network Configuration Management.

NetCracker said that the company will be integral in the end-to-end delivery of the OSS service fulfillment program for Optus, including professional services covering program management and governance; solution implementation and integration; systems consolidation; data migration; legacy system decommissioning; and testing, support, and training.
