Cisco Launches Three New IoT Specialization Tracks for Partners to Tap into $19 trillion Opportunity

Cisco Systems has announced three new Internet of Things (IoT)-centric IoT specializations intended to help partners capitalize on what the company says as a hugely untapped $19 trillion opportunity. The tech giant rolled out its certification options for IoT – Connected Safety and Security; Industry Expert; and Manufacturing, with additional IoT Specializations to be introduced during the first half of 2015 to support new products and solutions.

According to a blog post by , Cisco Partner Programs senior director, both its resale partners and operational technology (OT) partners can leverage the tools and trainings within these specializations, focused on key vertical markets. Through the specializations, partners will improve customer relevancy, help build critical skills, and learn more about Cisco technologies that enable the creation of powerful vertical market solutions.

The program covers four required roles for the advanced IoT Specialization - Account Manager (AM), Systems Engineer (SE), Field Engineer (FE), and Cisco Qualified Specialist (CQS).
