ZTE, this week announced that the company is supporting CSL Mobile Hong Kong for its VoLTE (voice over LTE) services commercial launch.

According to ZTE, almost 100,000 users are already using the VoLTE service since it was launched by CSL in late August. Based on test results, the connection time for a call between two VoLTE users is approximately one second, while a call from a VoLTE user to a non-4G user can be connected in four seconds, compared to seven seconds for 3G calls, said ZTE. The company also noted that video calling resolution can now reach 640x480pixels and voice and video calls can be switched seamlessly.
