Chine Mobile has selected ZTE's M6000-S broadband multi-service gateway (BSMG) to be deployed for services including 4G LTE, IP MAN networks, internet data centers, and enterprise-class services. The ZXR10 M6000 carrier class routers that provide high-speed interconnections in cloud computing and mobile Internet services will be used for P, PE, SR and CE router functions.

ZTE noted that the world's largest operator has awarded 30.77% of China Mobile Group’s annual tender for high-performance routers, the second-highest allocation among all vendors. According to a statement by ZTE, China Mobile’s 2014-15 tender for high-performance routers and switches drew bids from 13 vendors, including ZTE, Cisco and Juniper Networks.

The ZTE M6000-S series broadband multi-service gateway (BSMG) has recently been certified for OpenFlow 1.3 conformity test organized by the Beijing Internet Institute (BII).
