Nova Labs announced that the company executed an exclusive multi-year agreement with T-Mobile, America's 5G leader.

The announcement comes as Nova Labs plans to launch Helium Mobile, the world’s first crypto-powered mobile service that will enable subscribers to earn crypto rewards for using the network while saving money. This industry-first Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) collaboration with T-Mobile enables users of Helium Mobile to access both the local Helium 5G network created by the people, as well as the T-Mobile 5G network.

Through the Nova Labs service, Helium Mobile subscribers can opt-in to earn MOBILE token rewards for sharing data about coverage quality and helping identify Helium dead spot locations nationwide and save money on cellular data plans. While Helium Mobile is centered in a bring your own device (BYOD) market, Nova Labs is partnering with select cell phone manufacturers on specialized, crypto-friendly cell phone devices that will be more efficient at validating network coverage, earning more MOBILE token rewards for their users when compared to generic, BYOD phones. Commercial service is expected to launch into beta in Q1 2023 and will provide U.S. nationwide 5G coverage.

The Helium network is known as the fastest-growing decentralized wireless network providing open-sourced coverage worldwide, made up of a growing community of people who deploy wireless devices powered by crypto. Since the Network’s 2019 launch to support the Internet of Things (IoT), 900,000+ hotspots using Helium Long Fi have been deployed around the world, with an astonishing 1,000 units added daily.

There are currently over 2,500 active Helium hotspots with 5G in 889 US cities since launching in August 2022.

Amir Haleem, CEO of Nova Labs and founder of Helium
Nova Labs is committed to building out a decentralized network. Our new agreement with T-Mobile gives our subscribers nationwide 5G coverage and enables us to offer mobile products and services that use both networks. 5G infrastructure can be accessible to anyone at a much faster pace by enabling the community to help build and use the Helium network, especially in hard-to-reach places.

Dan Thygesen, Senior Vice President of T-Mobile Wholesale and head of T-Mobile's growing wholesale business
We believe Helium Mobile is pursuing a very nascent and exciting market segment. T-Mobile is excited to support Nova Labs’ innovation in this new crypto-powered space by enabling their mobility on the nation’s largest, fastest and most reliable nationwide 5G network.
