Teneo, the IT services company, has announced that it is strengthening its security portfolio with Akamai Guardicore Segmentation, the industry-leading microsegmentation solution.

Building upon its long-standing partnership with Akamai, and following Akamai’s acquisition of Guardicore in 2021, the solution will enable businesses to develop a multi-layered defense strategy around a Zero Trust architecture.

Teneo has been promoting the adoption of Zero Trust security architectures with a range of technologies across its security portfolio, including NGFW, ZTNA, SWG, CASB, and Next Generation endpoint protection. As networks continue to grow and evolve, with many now including cloud services, the challenges of applying and managing segmentation and Micro-Segmentation has become increasingly complex.

Recognized as a ‘Leader’ in The Forrester New Wave: Micro-segmentation evaluation, Akamai Guardicore Segmentation addresses these challenges by limiting access to only users and applications that are authorized to communicate with each other. By denying communication as the default, the threat surface and risk exposure are drastically reduced, thereby limiting the spread of malware and protecting enterprise data flow across the network.

Brett Ayres, Teneo’s VP of Product
As a provider of Next Generation Firewalls, we have been helping customers segment their networks for the last ten years. With Akamai Guardicore Segmentation, we are excited to move that to the next level to provide our customers with another line of defense against the ever-growing ransomware threat.

Pavel Gurvich, SVP and General Manager, Akamai Enterprise Security
Together with Teneo, we’re helping customers take back control of the network through the simple creation of end-to-end segmentation policies to reduce the attack surface and minimize the impact of ransomware in the event of a breach. We look forward to working in close partnership with Teneo to provide one of the industry’s simplest, fastest and most intuitive way to enforce Zero Trust principles across the network.
