Cox Business launches Internet Gateway and Guest Wi-Fi access service on its cable tv network to small and medium-sized businesses nationwide. The new service combines a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem and a Wi-Fi-enabled 802.11ac router into one device, simplifying device management and delivering WiFi service to employees. Cox Business also offers Guest Wi-Fi service via a second gateway device, which comes with a Wi-Fi backhaul connection, which enables businesses to offer dedicated Wi-Fi solutions to their customers without disrupting core business operations.
In addition, Cox also provides Cox Wi-Fi and Cable Wi-Fi offerings, which allow small business employees free access to thousands of secure hotspots when working remotely.
