INWI, a leading Moroccan fixed, mobile and internet service provider, has deployed Openet’s convergent policy control (Policy and Charging Rules Function -PCRF) and advanced allowance management to accelerate data innovation and optimize the customer experience through real-time visibility and account control.

Dublin-based Openet, a global leader in the supply of real-time BSS (business support systems), said that INWI has migrated to Openet’s leading PCC solution to rapidly deploy new services to subscribers and create new revenue streams to maximize network capacity investments. INWI has integrated Openet’s Policy Manager with its advanced Balance Manager and Offer Catalog solution to monetize and shorten time-to-market for innovative new use cases such as ‘one day’ mobile data service passes and real-time data upsell notifications to its 13 million subscribers, said Openet.

According to Openet,  the real time policy management solution enables INWI to deliver differentiated and innovative data services to consumers and business customers across its mobile networks with possible extension to other access technologies. This deployment will leave INWI perfectly placed to monetize upcoming 4G LTE networks, added Openet.

"Our partnership with Openet ensures we offer a high quality and differentiated service to our customers and ensure they remain firmly in control of their service usage. INWI remains completely committed to offering our customers innovation and transparency, with the ability to rapidly react to new opportunities. Openet provides this flexibility.”

-           Bernard Buyat, CTO, INWI

“Our work with INWI reflects the importance of next generation BSS in safeguarding customer quality of experience and the creation of new revenue streams. Having access to flexible best of breed systems will play a pivotal role in operators monetizing new lucrative 4G services and driving customer retention.
