New York-based Piksel, a global provider of video monetization software and solutions, this week unveiled Piksel Mosaic, a proof-of-concept to bring hyper-personalization to consumer content experiences, offering a seamlessly integrated content experience across different connected devices.

The app which uses context-based recommendation capabilities allows users to access video content, email, social media and other personal information on all of their connected devices through a single access point.

Using the Piksel Mosaic app individuals can unite all forms of content in one simple browsing experience, using a tile-based interface which retains a consistent look-and-feel playing to the individual strengths of the device used -- TV, smartphone, laptop, desktop or tablet.

According to Piksel, its integrated ecosystem enables content owners, distributors, aggregators and brands to retain viewers for all of their content interactions throughout the day in one environment, driving deeper engagement and opening up a raft of targeted advertising possibilities.

"Piksel has been at the forefront of designing ground-breaking user-centric content experiences for nearly 20 years and we believe that hyper-personalization is the next evolution for the industry. Context is now driving a user's content choices and our customers must respond to this by offering services which are tailor-made for the individual."

-        Ralf Tillman, Chief Strategy Officer, Piksel

"Piksel Mosaic presents a radical new opportunity for the TV and media industry. The level of flexibility that we have built into the technology means we can create a bespoke, micro-service for an individual in a way that hasn't been seen before across all screens."

-        Mark Christie, Chief Technology Officer, Piksel
