T1 Mobile Operator Expands on Allot's Service Gateway to Enable Streaming Music Services

Allot Communications, a leading global supplier of service optimization and revenue generation solutions for fixed and mobile broadband operators and cloud providers, has received a follow-on order from a Tier-1 global telecoms group operator for its Service Gateway portfolio.

According to Allot, the expansion for its intelligent charging solution using Allot Service Gateway will enable the operator to deliver streaming music services to over 30 million subscribers in multiple markets globally. The solution will allow the Tier-1 operator to offer flexible application-centric plans to meet growing usage and service demand driven by the streaming music service, said Allot. In addition, the operator is leveraging popular applications and content as part of a larger strategy to create new service plans based on the digital lifestyle segmentation of their subscribers.

"Operators must become digital lifestyle providers in order to meet the needs of today’s savvy users and remain competitive in today’s environment. Allot is playing a key role in this operator’s strategy to differentiate his offering by delivering zero-rated Over The Top (OTT) applications such as music and social networks.”
