EMC via its subsidiaries Isilon and Pivotal, Thursday introduced a software-defined enterprise-grade big data solutions for Malaysian enterprises, bringing both their best of breed products to unlock insights from unstructured data as the data explosion holds.

Malaysia the country with large a percentile of new generation workforce that is both technology and social media savv, brings the need for enterprises to prepare for the explosion of user generated data and the need for real-time access through an always-on network.

According to EMC, its new Isilon S210 and Isilon X410, and OneFS software, deliver two times the performance and heightened agility over previous generations of solutions to help customers significantly advance their ability to ingest, store, protect and manage massive amounts of unstructured data. 

EMC highlighed that the Isilon family of products can easily handle petabytes of Big Data in industries that create massive amounts of sensitive data that directly correlate to their bottom lines, including Media & Entertainment, Financial Services and Life Sciences.

EMC is taking the analytics ready Data Lakes approach as the go-to, highly scalable repository for storing data from a wide variety of sources, generated by traditional and next-generation workloads, and consumed through a range of mechanisms without needing to be managed by separate, multiple silos of storage.
