Radius Inc this week unveiled its Radius IoT Edge Sensor Solution, which enables enterprise customers to connect operational data traditionally tethered to wired devices to the cloud, allowing them to leverage the full capability of IoT-based analytics. Radius, a next-generation technology solution provider focused on the growing Internet of Things (IoT) industry, said that with the IoT expected to expand to more than 200 billion connected devices in the next 10 year, the Radius IoT Edge Sensor Solution enables enterprises to leverage and use the data generated by those devices by linking any device to cloud-based services via cellular connectivity.

According to Radius, the Radius IoT Edge Sensor Solution is powered by software and hardware from Ombitron, the provider of the Ombitron end-to-end platform built specifically to accelerate the Internet of Things (IoT). Radius said that along with the Radius IoT Edge Sensor Solution, Radius and Ombitron announced the availability of the IoT Quick Start Bundle, providing everything customers need to easily evaluate the Edge Sensor Solution by connecting devices to the cellular network and gathering key operational data for processing and analysis. Radius also said that the offering includes the Edge Sensor Solution for a fixed number of devices, system configuration, professional services and support.

"We are very excited to announce our new IoT Edge Sensor Solution. The reality is that enterprises around the globe still have tremendous amounts of operational and industrial data tethered to physical devices and sensors that cannot be accessed and processed. This new solution provides the capability to unlock that data and send it over the cellular networks for processing and analysis."

-        Anders Brown, President at Radius Inc

Today's enterprise customers need a streamlined solution to quickly and cost effectively test, deploy, and most importantly, monitor and maximize value from IoT use cases. Our E-Series managed cellular gateway suite combined with Radius' expertise in this market creates a great combination and solution for enterprise customers."

-        H. Paul Hammann, Ombitron's Founder and CEO
