TELUS Partners AirWatch & Vox Mobile to Launch Cloud-based MDM Solution for Canadian Businesses

TELUS partners VMware's Airwatch and Vox Mobile to launch MDM Made Easy, a new cloud-based mobile device management (MDM) solution to enable Canadian businesses to keep their mobile devices secure and embrace the growing Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend. The turn-key MDM solution is powered by AirWatch by VMware platform and the professional services and support are provided by Vox Mobile. The solution enhances the security of mobile devices, providing protection against the loss of sensitive data, said Telus.

According to Telus, the cross platform solution that supports all major mobile operating systems allows businesses to quickly deploy a feature-rich MDM solution without investing in infrastructure, eliminating the need for on-premise hardware and additional overhead on IT support. The company added that its business customers receive a complimentary basic package for their TELUS devices and can add additional security features like secure email, application scanning, file sharing and secure web browsing.

"The challenges IT departments face are becoming more complex with the convergence of mobility, cloud, big data and the Internet of Things, and TELUS is committed to helping our customers navigate this rapidly changing landscape. MDM Made Easy allows our customers to leverage the cloud to quickly deploy a robust mobile device management solution that is cost-effective, scalable and simple to manage. By leveraging industry-leading technology and services from our partners, AirWatch and Vox Mobile, we’ve created a unique offering for Canadian businesses that combines connectivity, security, service, simplicity and value."
