Fujitsu launches a Managed Infrastructure Service, FENICS II Business Wi-Fi Service in Japan, making it easy for enterprises to deploy and operate a wireless LAN environment, especially to support the use of personal smart devices.

FUJITSU, the Japanese multinational information technology (IT) equipment and services company headquartered in Tokyo, said that the new service integrates the enterprise WiFi authentication and management into Fujitsu's cloud, including support for smart devices on Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy. The cloud-based solution allows customers to have their access points management and operations covering aspects such as settings and signal conditions, to be centrally managed.

The service which was rolled out  in Japan since the 5th of August can be used to prevent unauthorized devices from accessing the enterprise network and to provide open Internet access to guests.

Fujitsu plans to expand the products and services it offers as part of the FUJITSU Mobile Initiative, which supports innovation through the use of mobile technologies by customers and society.
