Suba Licenses TCP Engines' Congestion Control Solution for Faster Sharing of Mobile Photos Across Africa

TCP Engines has licenced its congestion management and bandwidth optimization solutionTCP-MAX™ to Intruptiv Technologies' Suba, a leading mobile app platform which enables Africans to collect, discover and share photo streams seamlessly with others.

According to TCP Engines, the TCP-MAX enables any source to achieve close to the theoretical limit of the network speed and according to Suba it has shown the proven ability to reduce the load time of a photo within Suba’s application by more than 60%, from over 1.5 seconds to less than 960 milliseconds.

TCP-MAX™ not only adjusts for both loss-based and delay-based packet loss and congestion, it also dynamically adapts to changing network conditions to deliver the highest possible throughput and responsiveness, added TCP Engine.

By leveraging the congestion solutions from TCP Engines, we are able to provide Africans with an enhanced quality of experience that is on par with anywhere in the world. With the tangible reduction in load times, we view TCP Engines as a core competitive advantage to ultimately drive increased satisfaction and usage of the Suba application in Africa and beyond.”

-      Nelson Klutse, CEO of Suba. Klutse

“Solving the problems of delivery across distance, hops and wireless are critical in an Internet where congestion is increasing and acquiring a user is measured in milliseconds. Suba is a wonderful example of brilliant developers building a unique solution based on local market knowledge, and the TCP Engines team is thrilled to become a critical component in their success. We look forward to further collaborating with companies like Suba in Africa and other innovators across the globe to enhance the overall experience for their customers and clients.”
