THEMA, a Canal+ Group company and iQiyi, on Monday announced their recent partnership with a first commercial launch in the UK and Ireland on Netgem TV.

The premium on-demand video streaming service providing beloved pan-Asian entertainment has partnered with THEMA to further its international ambitions across Europe. iQiyi, the Asian streaming leader, has over 106 million paid subscribers worldwide and offers more than 10 localised interfaces and subtitles, making Asian content accessible to global audiences in 191 territories worldwide. 

 

Considered as the Home of Beloved Asian Entertainment, iQiyi’s international app currently offers over 4,000 original and licensed titles across movies, dramas, variety shows and anime that can be downloaded and watched offline or on-the-go. Other than bringing the hottest Korean content to the service, iQiyi will also provide to its Netgem TV audience in the UK and Ireland, the Best in Chinese content - especially in genres such as romance and suspense thrillers.

Netgem TV, the leading service provider for next generation ultrafast fibre homes and recently acclaimed for its multiscreen TV experience through a monthly subscription, is already addressing a total 3 million homes in the UK & Ireland and will start as of today marketing the iQiyi International App & associated VOD services through its award-winning UI, designed for smart content surfacing.
