Orion Telekom, Serbia's largest ISP selects Cambium Networks' GPS sync solution -ePMP 1000 platform to support its new IP television service offering.

Cambium said that it has signed an exclusive multi-year agreement with Orion to support its wireless network planning and operations, which includes its engineers in supporting Orion with network design, optimization and system integration services.

The solution enables the operator to increase network performance and throughput cost effectively, allowing them to maximize available spectrum and manage up to three times the network capacity of non-sync solutions.

Due to our planned expansion into IP television services across Orion's client base, we selected the ePMP 1000 platform to increase network performance. We found its performance characteristics well suited to this service offering and to our network needs, as we grow into larger and denser areas requiring a high-performance solution."

-    Slobodan Djinovic, CEO, Orion Telekom

"As operators in developing communities expand to provide carrier-class services, Cambium Networks' proven wireless broadband technology allows for operators to easily upgrade their networks and plan for future growth. We are confident that ePMP will afford Orion the right balance of performance and cost effectiveness to continue its expansion in Serbia and beyond.

-    Martin de la Serna, VP Sales, EMEA, Cambium Networks
